12/29/2023 0 Comments A family venture will taylor![]() Prior to coming to Ohio University, she worked with Tri-County Adult Career Center as a Customized Office Specialist Training Coordinator and provided training on an assortment of software and office training topics tailored to companies or community needs. After that, she joined the team at Facilities Management & Safety as an Executive Assistant. In 2014, she accepted the position of Administrative Specialist with the Office of Global Affairs. She began working for Ohio University in 2012 as an Administrative Services Associate in the Center for International Studies. In her role she assists departments with the recruitment, hiring and onboarding process for new employees. Gloria Matheny joined the OHIO Business Service Center as an Employment Coordinator in August of 2023. Lori's pretty sure the boys only take her to cook! Each year she travels to Canada on a two-week fishing trip with her husband and youngest son (even though she hates to fish). She is a mom of three wonderful kids and a grandmother of seven rambunctious boys and girls. Lori originally hails from New Jersey but has grown to love the town of Athens and its people. These programs allowed her to learn more about the advantages/disadvantages surrounding finances and study abroad, while also allowing her to see the world through the eyes of the students. Through her work, Lori has been able to travel to Ghana and Ecuador with two amazing groups of students. She held several different positions at OHIO, before joining the Office of Global Opportunity team in 2005 bringing along her expertise from the Cashier's and Registrar's offices.Īs an Accounting Support Senior Specialist, Lori crafts the budgets for our OHIO Credit programs, handles payments to various vendors, and answers the complex questions that can come up for student accounts. Lori has worked for Ohio University since September 1999. Kim loves hard rock/metal music and smooth jazz, loves to work Logic Problems for fun (the Insane (highest) Levels), and plays Pokemon Go, often with her youngest son. She has one sibling, who is 13 years younger, and Kim loves being an aunt to her young nephew. Kim has been married for over three decades and has two adult sons. That person retired in 2021, and under the direction of the new Senior Director of Administration, Kim took on a lot of the day to day work her former boss had been doing and has learned a lot in the past two years. ![]() ![]() In 2012, she started assisting the Budget Unit Manager & Analyst in Alden for half of her day (the other half in Circulation), and then moved into the position full time in 2016. She has a BS in Education, but discovered Finance type work is a lot more enjoyable. She comes to the Business Service Center from Alden Library, where she worked for 28 years, plus 3 ½ as an undergraduate student. Kim Brooks has lived within Athens county, and has been a Bobcat, her whole life.
